The Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency is set to install closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in four underpass pump houses.
Rakim Sastranegara, Sub-agency Head of Central Jakarta Bina Marga expressed those four pump houses were Dukuh Atas, Senen, Matraman and on Jalan Angkasa.

He explained crimes such as theft of power cables had occurred at Dukuh Atas Underpass pump house. In the action, the perpetrator cut the power cable from the KWh meter to the pump engine.
Its installation was expected to minimize the same case in the future.
"Entering rainy season, we ensure all pumps in Central Jakarta are in good condition," he stated.
